The sigma male is a recent subject that psychology is currently studying. Sigma males have always been present in society, however, they do not seek approval from anything or anyone, they are known for breaking paradigms and records. The sigma male is the type of person who lives outside society’s standard and therefore, he is a creative person, he is a person who thinks outside the box. Sigma males have characteristics very similar to alpha males but prefer to go at their speed. They don’t follow other people’s rules, they don’t conform to society’s standards and they don’t need to buy things as society demands, they are calm and controlled people.
They are generally business people or entrepreneurs, who seek to travel, seek knowledge, seek to be better people. With the pandemic around, sigma males are becoming mainstream due to new obligations imposed by the world’s governments to work from home. They play an active role in females because they show themselves to be self-sufficient and able to follow their path in life, without depending on other people or goods for their needs. Although it seems contradictory, they continue to play an important role in the hierarchy of society, as they are the people who take the initiative to start businesses, start companies and so on. Because they are people who run away from common sense, they are unusual.
